Hi! As you can see I’m getting back into my blogging every day! Another birthday card for Think Pink using Sweet Sketch (a really fun sketch to work with) hopefully I can raise some cash for cancer research with them. I’m finding the murky lighting difficult for photos at the minute- might have to build a mini studio when I have time!
I used the photo of the Stampin’ royalty colours to colour match my digital papers I made on Craft Artist. I used a pink frame with circles. as the basis of my patterns. I then used a pink Sakura glaze pen and orange Sakura souffle pen to add some detailing and to make it pop. I tore some pink fibrous paper and stamped orange circles on it using a wine cork.
I made circle embellishments by printing from Craft Artist and then adding pearls I had coloured orange. I mounted them and my image using foam pads. I then attached my sentiment using pearl brads I had coloured orange and fixed it with a curve on it to add dimension.
I also used a pink sakura glaze pen to highlight the middle of the sentiment.
I coloured the image with Promarkers and flexmarkers.
I designed a matching inside but put all the elements on 1 layer to print.
A good few hours of fun! I would like to enter the following challenges
This is my first Saturated Canary digi and I love how she turned out! I used my computer to put her on a background that lookes like a room and colour matched to the papers I was using. I coloured using Promarkers and then used some pearlescent ink to paint highlights. I took tons of pictures as she looks so different depending on the angle!
The middle heart is a circuit board covered with pearlescent ink and crackle paint and a couple of Me To You brads.
I used glitter and pearlescent ink around the edge of the card.
With walks in the woods and all the challenges with great Autumnal colours and pictures you can hardly fail to be inspired.
I used the colour picker on CraftArtist to match the autumnal colours from the inspiration and colour challenge photos (seee photos at end of post!!) I then made the various leaf papers using the colours (using either leaf backgrounds coloured using my pallete or using the falling leaves brush). I then added the faux stitching on computer and colour matched it. I also played around and made the tag. I then printed the papers and elements off.
I stamped the tag with my LOTV Wishing you sunshine all year through stamp with brown ink. I used a clear brad and coloured it with Pumkin Promarker to match the card which I used to fix the tag. I had to swap the orientation of this for the layout I was using as it didn’t look right on the bottom right corner (hope that it is still ok for the challenge!)
I used the Autumn Hapiness digi stamp from Wee Stamps (so cute!!). I coloured using Promarkers and felt I did a good job of matching them for the colour challenge. I also tried colouring the background using a technique I saw in a Letraset demo on Create and Craft tv to hint at the sky and ground without using solid colour.
I was inspired by lots of challenges so I may as well enter them all! Thanks to all these challenge blogs for firing my imagination.
This is my card for Breast Cancer Awareness month. I’ve been trying to recycle packaging when cardmaking where possible. I had a phase eight bag to recycle and I realised the P was actually like the breast cancer awareness ribbon. The bag also has pink and black polka dot card and black card that i used as the basis for making the tag. Everything else is from stash.
