Inspired by chocolate

Inspired by chocolate

Who wouldn’t be inspired by chocolate! When I saw this inspiration photo for The Pink Elephant challenge I had to try the challenge.

Yum, yum!! I picked another sketch from Make My Monday to help me in my quest to get better at CAS cards

So here is my card for today

I designed the card using CAP so I could keep to one layer and keep the costs down! I used pearlescent card and then rounded the card corners and paper cormers. I colour matched all the elements to the inspiration photo. I added a pink lace border to echo the doily in the photo. I cut out a small section of the sprinkles on chocolate to make the background paper- enlarged it and made it slightly transparent. I then selected a section of the photoand acolour matched a frame around the outside to get the 3 squares. I added the 3 butterfly embellishments. I then copied a section of chocolate with the pink drizzles, enlarged it and made it into a heart shape.
I added a couple of real embellishments to make it pop! I added glossy accents to the heart and 4 gems. To me it is a CAS card but I’ll probably find it isn’t!!

Altered baking tray!

Altered baking tray!

I decided I needed more craft storage but I needed to keep it frugal. Having made storage for my Promarkers the next thing was storage for the Perfect Pearls. I bought a baking tray for a pound and everything else is from stash.

I used some plastic reinforcers with rivets from packaging and stuck them to the back of the tray. I then threaded ribbon through them to hang it up.
I made the background paper using Craft Artist and printed it onto pearlescent paper.

I added flowers and skeleton leaves to one corner of the tray.

I used punches to create this rosette with scraps of paper. I added a gem from a pin to the middle.
I coloured the edges of the tray using dabs of alcohol inks and pearlescent ink.

I cut and stuck magnets to the back of the Perfect Pearls.
