Hi everyone!
It feels a bit weird posting this card having just watched the Lance Armstrong interview with Oprah. I have a nephew who loved the Olympics and is a fan of cycling. This Lili of the Valley digi was perfect for his birthday card and I made a voucher holder to match.

I think the papers are die cut were from Papermania. Lots of layers and Kraft card which I think can help add to the boy feel.
I added background colour to the LOTV die cut by daubing distress inks onto it.
I went for a single paper for the inside.

The sentiment stamp is also LOTV- I do love their circular sentiments.

This is the holder I made for the voucher. I clipped the crown and ribbon (recycled from a gift I received) to the voucher to pull it out like a tag.

And this is the back!

A good reason to open a bottle of wine!!

A good reason to open a bottle of wine!!

Sorry I haven’t had time for crafting this week! However, storecupboard January is back on track today- everything from stash or recycled. I started by using a wine cork and various ink pads to stamp this background.

By making everything using the same ink pads I was able to coordinate easily. I also wanted the card not to be too girly so I went for greens, browns and a little red on Kraft card.

I had a little scrap of aida that has been hanging around for years so I thought it was time to use it. I randomly stamped the ink pads onto it and then sprayed it with some green pearlescent spray (made by putting small amount of pearlescent ink in water in a small mister).

I then frayed the edges. I wanted to keep the stamped images simple. I used small ink pads to ink them out using the same coloursĀ  as for the background.

I used darker colours for the areas that would be more shaded, 2 greens for the boots and red for the ladybirds. The stamps are Country Companions and were free with a mag.

I used the same inks with a sponge dauber to lightly ink the backgrounds and to give my hedgehog little rosy cheeks and chest and some brown shading.

I decorated the inside of the card using the cork with ink pads again and the papers were made with a sponge dauber.

Rest of my bulk Christmas card LOTV makes!

Rest of my bulk Christmas card LOTV makes!

I  have so much catching up to do on here. I was so busy getting all my makes done for Christmas that I didn’t have time to blog most of them. I went with a green, red and Kraft theme using LOTV die cuts and this has enabled me to make some cards with the matching scraps. I was really happy to make every card different and so easy I got them done in a couple of hours as I’ve only been doing this for a few months! I made quite a few so this is a really picture heavy post so remember to at least scroll to the end to see the challenges I’ve entered with some wonderful inspiration photos!

I used brilliance dew drop pigment ink to ink the die cut backgrounds. I decorated the inside of the cards as well so even more piccies!!

You can’t see the second paper that well- it is in diamond orientation!

I had planned to use various ribbons on several cards but I ran out of the glue I use at this point!!

On some of the backgrounds I painted snow with silver brilliance ink.

Hope that wasn’t too boring! I’d like to enter the following challenges

Here is the first quick and flat card!!

I went for square Kraft card for my quick cards. I used a pearlescent green dew drop ink to colour the edges and background of the die cut. The die cut is from Lili of the Valley. Papers from stash. Here is the inside!
