Flourishy Christmas

Flourishy Christmas

More papers I’ve made featuring flourishes as inspired by this photo for the papercraft star challenge

I used the colours from this lush inspiration photo from my partner in crafting crime

So here is my non-traditional Christmas creation!

I made my papers on computer and inked the edges with distress ink. I also inked my pink card edges. I used my Winter fairy digi and added the wreath on computer (adding some gems). I used a lace ribbon coloured with glimmer mist and alcohol ink to run across the card and make the bow. I inked a circle with tattered rose distress ink and embossed fourishes and then highlighted them with green distress ink. The ‘have a magical Christmas’ sentiment was free with a magazine and was stamped in distress ink, I then added perfect pearls and glossy accents.

I coloured the digi with Promarkers and added shine with perfect pearls. I then added glossy accents to the wings.

Girly winter in pastels!

Girly winter in pastels!

I needed to make a girly Winter card ready for a birthday in December. When I saw the beautiful inspiration card photo for the Ribbon Reel Challenge (see end of post) I knew the pastel flower theme together with my Winter angel digi would be perfect.

I made the flower paper with the roses wreath on the computer using Craft artist. I blended Distress ink on the paper and I used Promarkers to colour the flowers on the paper. The Winter Fairy digi was coloured with pastel Promarkers and then I used somepink, light green and white stickles on some parts of the image.

I made the background paper by stamping repeated flower patterns using purple and blue ink.

The LOTV sentiment was stamped in purple onto card which had been distressed. The frame was stamped as well and decorated with 4 pearl embellishments. I punched the corners of the frame and threaded ribbon through. I coloured the flowers on the ribbon using the dusky pink Promarker and stickles.

I made the flower embellishment. The two layers of flowers from stash were distressed and decorated with pink stickles on the bottom layer and white on the top layer. I then removed the flower head off a flower pin using cutters and added it with glossy accents.

Flying in a Winter wonderland

Flying in a Winter wonderland

Used this lovely Winter fairy digi stamp for another Christmas card. I was trying to use up some scraps from previous cards in colours I don’t use so much.

I made the snowflake paper for a challenge and wanted to use it up. The light blue card was scraps. The card, image, sentiment and snowflakes are all different shapes to fit the challenges.

I coloured the Winter fairy digi with Promarkers and added some glitter using stickles. I stamped the LOTV sentiment and mounted it on a snowflake punched from scrap glittery blue card.

I made the snowflakes by punching 4 from green, rust and light blue slitter scrap paper. I also used disterss inks and a watercolour brush on white scrap paper and used that for the last snowflakes. I layered the snowflakes and added the blue embellishment from stash (kept forgetting I had them!).

I embossed the thin light blue scrap paper with snowflakes and highlighted with blue ink. I used a ribbon punch and threaded some scrap ribbon through. I added faux stitching with a Promarker and more embellishments.

Glamorous gardening

Glamorous gardening

A second card tonight. This is for a friend who loves gardening.

The card layout is based on one I saw on Create and Craft TV- I’m afraid I can’t remember who was making it to give them credit!!
The backing paper is lilac with some sky blue and isn’t showing up too well here but it is lush! It is from Snowman papers. The sky blue and lilac card is from stash. The lilac ribbons were cut out of clothes and saved! The sky blue butterfly embellishment is from stash.

This is another great LOTV die cut. Once again I have added some colours to get a better match to the card I decided to add grass, leaves and some more lilac on the flowers. I also added the sky blue ribbon to the hat to match the card.
