For a special boy

For a special boy

I bought this Lili of the valley stamp for Christmas cards and wrapping etc for some of the boys in my family. They are all into Harry Potter so I thought it would be appropriate. This is the first card I’ve made with the stamp.

I inked the edges of the card with red distress ink and added platinum perfect pearls. I made the papers and sentiment on the computer using owls and stars as themes.

I added glitter to the red card around the sentiment. I added some red star embellies.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and used stickles around the edge and on the image. I also used perfect pearls on the top of the colouring to give some shimmer.

Vintage Christmas

Once again I’ve pushed myself out of my comfort zone. I’m not one for traditional Christmas cards and traditional Christmas colours.

I used a LOTV die cut with added stickles and stamped my LOTV sentiment in red with yellow chalk on the background to make it look a bit aged. Card and papers from stash (papers free with magazines) Bow and stars also from stash. I punched the gold card with star punches.

Starry starry night!

Starry starry night!

Here is my first attempt at a fancy easel card- I made up the folding bit to get my star further back so my characters could look at it!!

I was trying to use up some of my freebies from magazines and my stash. I designed and printed out my star of wonder, coloured it with Pormarkers and stickled it. I mounted the star and my characters on matching paper.  I added a star gem as well. I used glitter foam and cut a band and star to hold the easels in place. I designed and printed my sentiment.

This was part of a free decoupage kit but the colouring was very pale so I coloured over the top with Promarkers!
