Flourishy Christmas

Flourishy Christmas

More papers I’ve made featuring flourishes as inspired by this photo for the papercraft star challenge

I used the colours from this lush inspiration photo from my partner in crafting crime

So here is my non-traditional Christmas creation!

I made my papers on computer and inked the edges with distress ink. I also inked my pink card edges. I used my Winter fairy digi and added the wreath on computer (adding some gems). I used a lace ribbon coloured with glimmer mist and alcohol ink to run across the card and make the bow. I inked a circle with tattered rose distress ink and embossed fourishes and then highlighted them with green distress ink. The ‘have a magical Christmas’ sentiment was free with a magazine and was stamped in distress ink, I then added perfect pearls and glossy accents.

I coloured the digi with Promarkers and added shine with perfect pearls. I then added glossy accents to the wings.

With thanks

With thanks

As it is Thanksgiving time I thought I would make a thank you card. My colours and papers were inspired by the amazing picture at the end of this post and I decided to work to a challenge sketch (also at the end of the post).

The ribbon reel challenge photo inspired me to design papers in these colours and to use a cute digi with a flower and butterflys and swirls (like butterfly wing patterns). I added gemstones to the papers.  I had to flip the sentiment to the other side from the sketch so you could see butterflies on the paper.

On my cute image I coloured with Promarkers. I used stickles to highlight the flower and glossy accents to give him a shiny nose. I used blue perfect pearls on my rabbit. I used alcohol inks and glimmer mist dabbed onto the background.

First attempt at sewing on card!

First attempt at sewing on card!

This is a winter birthday card I made with my own papers made on computer again.

These are more lily papers I made on the computer. I sewed the papers to pink card using running stitch but on the top and side of the sentiment I used an embroidery flower stitch. I used lavender distress ink and perfect pearls on the edges of the card.

I used alcohol inks and glimmer mist to colour the lace and added gems and some WOC flowers.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and stickles for the fur trim. I used lavender distress ink and perfect pearls for the background and added gems. I used another piece of the lace over pink ribbon.

First box

First box

This is my first box for the birthday card I made yesterday. I’m pleased with it as I had to make up how to do it!!

I made the background paper with sentiment on the computer. I tied the bow and stuck it on the wreath. I used distress inks to colour card and the punched two butterflies. I curled the wings, layered them and added gems to the body.  I added a cluster of flowers from WOC.

Sweet Blossom birthday card

Sweet Blossom birthday card

This birthday easel card has taken me ages!

I found a free Lily digi and used it to make the frame for Sweet Blossom on my computer.

On the base of the card I used more paper I’d made with the same digi. The butterfly was made using a MS punch (thanks for the inspiration Coops). I coloured some pink card with glimmer mists and Perfect pearls and then punched two butterflies and layered them with a slight uplift on the top one. I added gems to the body.
The raised card with sentiment was decorated with corners, flowers a ribbon and sliding buckle (WOCs) I also used distress inks to colour some lace for the background.

Another photo to show the 3D effect on the butterfly!

I decorated my flower frame with some additional WOC flowers and used a small butterfly punch in same way to make the little butterflys and added them in frame and added them to give a 3D effect on the top of the card.
Sweet Blossom was coloured with Promarkers and inside the frame I used distress inks and covered with Perfect Pearls.

Around the edge of my backing paper on the top of the card I used Stickles glitter and WOC corners. The edges of the cards were coloured with distress ink and Perfect Pearls.

Flower power easel card

Flower power easel card

I’ve finally tried adding flower embellishments to a card!

I have an age to add to the circle once I know the recipient of the card! I used distress inks and perfect pearls to do the background for the LOTV stamp. Image was coloured with Promarkers. The flowers are all WOC. I added a couple of gems to the flowers in her hair.

I used glitter spray on all the yellow card.

Keep calm and eat a cupcake.

Keep calm and eat a cupcake.

I used this wonderful inspiration picture for this card.

This gave me tons of ideas and I came up with this card.

I used the colour picker on Craft Artist to match my paper colours to the inspiration picture and used ideas from it for the papers.

The central paper is stripes to match the tablecolth and I made it and added the frames and sentiment in Craft Artist. I used a LOTV die cut and recoloured it with Promarkers to match the inspiration photo colours. I used tattered rose distress ink inside the frames and around the die cut. I coloured clear gems with Promarker for the cake cherries.

The ribbon paper with cupcakes was made on the computer. The next layer down was made to look like petal wallpaper like the wall in the picture. The background paper was also made on computer and features cupcakes. I coloured some more gems for the backing paper to add some zing!

Snowy and fluffy!

Snowy and fluffy!

Not sure what I think of this attempt!

Not the best photo! I coloured my penguin digi with Promarkers and used flower soft to get fluffy feathers! I also used flowersoft and coloured it with glitter to make my coloured snow, colouring behind it with Promarkers and using stickles for the falling snow. The digi papers were made on computer with Craft Artist. I used my snowflake punches and a LOTV Let it snow sentiment.

Vintage Christmas

Vintage Christmas

Once again I’ve pushed myself out of my comfort zone. I’m not one for traditional Christmas cards and traditional Christmas colours.

I used a LOTV die cut with added stickles and stamped my LOTV sentiment in red with yellow chalk on the background to make it look a bit aged. Card and papers from stash (papers free with magazines) Bow and stars also from stash. I punched the gold card with star punches.

Christmas card for teenage girl

Christmas card for teenage girl

I was playing around with pear green and lilac to make digi papers and for colouring my digi.

The background papers were made using my computer. The top layer and tag is textured card sanded with an emery board and the outer edge blended with green distress ink.

I used a button from stash and some white ribbon cut out from my clothes (the annnoying ones used to keep clothes on the hanger which constantly come out when you’re wearing them so I cut them off and keep the for crafting and gift tags!). I coloured the ribbon with lavender distress ink.
