First Promarker card!

First Promarker card!

I’ve made another Christmas card today. It’s the first time I’ve stamped and coloured an image for a card.

I used a James Bear LOTV stamp and coloured him with Promarkers with a silver pen to highlight on the tinsel.

The papers, embellishments etc. were from stash. The metal charm says ‘just for you’ and there is a Merry Christmas sticker.

I would like to enter this for the following challenge

To think a month ago I had never heard of Promarkers!!

To think a month ago I had never heard of Promarkers!!

I’m going to blame everyone on the MSE card thread for introducing me to Promarkes and leading to an addiction that will probably lead to bankruptcy! Especially as my very local HobbyCraft seem to have a stand of all the colours to buy individually!

I’ve been colouring in using a Doodle Designs book to practise. They take me a couple of hours and are probably too large for cards but it is fun! They seem to look quite good scanned and reduced so I might do that and use them for cards.

These are my first colouring attempts I’ve completed over the last couple of weeks.

Do feel free to give me tips on how to impove! Sorry my photos aren’t great but it would be too fiddly to use my decent camera to upload images and I’d end up posting nothing for ages and then adding hundreds of photos at once.

Wobbling into blogland and craftiness!

Wobbling into blogland and craftiness!

I’ve been inspired by reading blogs from fellow forumites at MSE to create my own. I am just starting out with various crafts and I’ll use the blog to remind myself of what I’ve done!!

Crafting wise I’ve done some glass painting and I’ll have to see if I can dig out a photo as I haven’t done it for years!! I also used to cross stitch, paused mid-project about 12 years ago and have been inspired to finish it now! When my camera is recharged I’ll try and get a piccie. I did an evening class in sewing about 10 years ago and made a skirt. I then didn’t do any until I bought a sewing machine in the last year. I’ve been teaching myself using the internet and books and will put up piccies of my initial creations soon. I’ve also made the odd card in the last few years. The last couple have been made quite quickly and are very basic but inspired by those on MSE I hope to improve!

Birthday card for a 60th.
Inside the card!

Congratulations card for other half passing his exams, sentiment is ‘To the one I love’ but it doesn’t show up very well on photo!

I also enjoy photography but as you can see I’m not that good at it!
