Love is

Love is

I’m still on my stash ban and doing my best to be innovative! I used the great photo from The Shabby Tearoom challenge for inspiration.

I used the colours, the sewing theme and also the vintage feel by using papers which remind me of vintage wallpaper.

The digi is from the Paper Shelter and is called the cute dressmaker. I recycled brown card packaging for my mats. I used distress ink around the edges of the card and image.

I used up some left over embroidery thread and buttons cut off clothes to add to my sentiment.

The back lacy ribbon was from Sew Sweet and was from a win on the wonderful Top Tip Tuesday. The green ribbon is from stash.

The inside of the card uses a heart from Nit Wits Threads and Thimbles.

Thanks for reading! The other challenges I want to enter are

Magical trifold

Magical trifold

Thanks to Top Tip Tuesday I was able to make this trifold card. It was for my brother and family. There will be a new addition to the family this year so I wanted  their card to represent each of them at this point.

I designed the papers on craft artist. Each section has the appropriate name (blurred for privacy).

I used this LOTV die cut for my brother who enjoys mountain biking. I made the background using Versamark dazzle and Perfect pearls.

This second LOTV die cut was for his OH who loves baking and made our wedding cake last year- background as above.

The last image is for my nephew who loves Harry Potter.

I coloured with Promarkes and used Versamark dazzle and perfect perals to make the background.

Thrifty gifty

Thrifty gifty

I tried to give money neutral gifts when possible this year and hopefully I’ll improve on this in 2012. Here are some of my Christmas gifts.
I made my mum some Pandora style jewellry (shame I forgot to take photos as I was in a rush!!). Then I made this chest of drawers box so the drawers had the necklace, bracelet and different colour beads in it.

The paper with the Lily heart was one I had designed in Craft artist.
I’m entering this for Just add ink- fancy packaging

Next is another idea which is very MSE! Last year I bought some friends Christmas Coffee from M&S which was quite expensive and the packaging was a boring bag! This year I got the same coffee but made these mug holders for it. One bag of coffee was split into 3 bags making 3 pressies from each bag!

The papers are from Cocoa latte in Craft artist. The ribbons I used were saved when I cut them out of new clothes! I added buttons (also saved from old clothes) to act as a stopper on the tags.

I made these boxes to hold 2 chocolate bars each for my youngish cousins.

I personalised them with their names. Forgot to take the photo before I tied the ribbon!

A gatefold stepper!

A gatefold stepper!

I decided to make up a card type for this birthday card!

I used pearlescent cards to make my gatefold and stepper cards and stuck them together! I used a MS punch on the edges of the cards. I used craft studio to make the papers- the mice are from Nitwits Thimbles and Threads. The flowers are from WOC.

I used pearlescent inks to colour the lace ribbons for the stepper cards. The beautiful digi is from the Paper Shelter.

I also inked the doily for the inside using pearlescent inks sprayed on it.

Another wonderful inspiration picture from cupcake inspirations challenge

I used the colours and themes of trees, buttons and houses to make my papers and print them.

I made a frame using buttons and a bow on the computer and added my digi which was coloured with Promarkers. I added stickles around the frame and used foam pads to make it pop more!

The papers I designed used houses (blue), swirls (pink) and pink ribbons with green trees.

As you can see I followed the layout for the Inkspirations challenge

Baubles!

Another Christmas card to add to the collection! I was inspired by this challenge photo from Christmas Stampin’ All Year Long and used the colours and bauble idea. I also picked up ideas from other challenges in my embellishments and papers.

Papers and embellishments etc on them are from Little Mittens Nitwit collections. The cute little mittens have buttons on them and I changed all the colours to match.

I love the button- it was one that I don’t really want to part with!!

I coloured this free Bauble Tilly Digi Image with Promarkers and added lots of stickles.

For a special boy

For a special boy

I bought this Lili of the valley stamp for Christmas cards and wrapping etc for some of the boys in my family. They are all into Harry Potter so I thought it would be appropriate. This is the first card I’ve made with the stamp.

I inked the edges of the card with red distress ink and added platinum perfect pearls. I made the papers and sentiment on the computer using owls and stars as themes.

I added glitter to the red card around the sentiment. I added some red star embellies.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and used stickles around the edge and on the image. I also used perfect pearls on the top of the colouring to give some shimmer.

Fairytale Christmas

Fairytale Christmas

I made some papers using the inspiration photo from Fairy tale challenge

and used the sketch from Stampin from the weekend even though I’ve missed the deadline!

So here is the card

I inked the edges with distress ink and added Perfect pearls. I made the mushroom paper and mushroom pattern paper on computer and the frame with the digi perched on the mushrooms from the photo. I also made the sentiment on the computer. I added the pearls and ribbons from stash.

I coloured the digi using Promarkers. I tried a new technique with distress inks to do the grass and sky background and then put on blue and white Perfect Pearls for some shine.
